I’ve had a love affair with photography since I was a kid. When I received my first camera, I was fascinated by the fact that I could use the magic box to record the history of my family. In the beginning I just took snapshots, but then I learned to see the beauty around me and compose images that engaged the viewer. I created images that conveyed the emotions of the people I loved and became a visual storyteller, capturing the twinkile in my grandfather’s eye as he sang to my younger sister.
My love affair with photography continues. I write books about photography and teach photographers how to create better images, and master image-editing applications like Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop.
Photography is very personal to me. The images I create convey the awe and wonder I feel when I see a landscape I want to photograph. I also create images that tell the stories of my clients: the look of joy in a bride and groom’s eyes before they share their first kiss as man and wife, the confidence of an attorney whose portrait I create, or the tears of joy at a family reunion. The ability to tell stories with my photography never ceases to amaze me and never will.
